Alade-Ishola Emmanuel Olawale whose stage name is Walexi started singing at the age of four.
Due to his love for music, his family inspired him into singing professionally, granting him their total support for him to hit the limelight because they believe he can with his music gift.
Listening to his families’ advice, he took the next step by going into the studio to record his first track titled “One Love” produced, mixed and mastered by Guzlaw of Guzzynation Studio.
“The best advice that was given to me is that I should never give up on my music and to always use my talent wisely,” Walexi said.
Though he is a fan of Wizkid and also admires Drake as his best famous foreign musician, he is open to collaborating with any established artiste.
“I cannot mention any famous artiste I would love to feature in my music because I do not know who I am going to feature that will make me a star. Therefore, I am openminded when it comes to collaborating with artistes.
Walexi showed his nonaligned admiration for his different favorite Nigerian artists when asked the famous musician he would love to spend a day with.
“I would love to spend a day with Davido if the opportunity arises. I enjoy his music and applaud his lifestyle” he said.
Walexi likewise shared that he is a man of many talents but he considers drawing to be his most useless talent.
“Like seriously, I am very bad at drawing. That is the most useless talent in my life,” he said.
“If music was not my calling, I will actually have become a footballer, as I am gifted in playing football,” he added.
Regardless that Walexi, is more or less a greenhorn in the industry, he has learnt enough to dish out advice to other newbies.
“My message for you guys is that you should focus on everything you have. do not give up, and always leave everything to God,” he said.
Showing musical interest at the age of four has lead to recording in the studio for Walexi, and this is the phase of new beginning for him in the entertainment industry.
