A 12-year-old boy (names withheld) who allegedly murdered his friend, Musa Tajudeen has been remanded in Oregun Correctional Home for Boys.
The accused who lives with his parents at 16, Akintumoye Street, Amukoko committed the crime on January 31, 2013 at about 8:45pm at Townhall Street, Amukoko.
Apparently the deceased and the accused got into a fight with Musa wanting to cut him with a machete but was stopped by his friends.
Some hours later the accused stabbed the deceased on the left side of his stomach with a knife after he went to his street.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Nwosu George, Musa however died before he could even be rushed to the hospital.
The magistrate, Mr. Olanrewaju Olatunji in his ruling said the accused be remanded in the special correctional centre for boys at Oregun since he’s a minor pending the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The case has been adjourned till April 4, 2014.
