Jim Carrey's Girl Friend Commits Suicide After He Breaks Up With Her

Following the suicide of his late ex girlfriend, Jim Carrey released an emotional statement about her, Cathriona White on Sept. 29. Jim has been dating the Irish make up artist on-and-off since 2012 and they recently called it quits again on Sept. 24. In his statement, he calls her “a truly kind and delicate Irish flower.”

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.

Sadly, Cathriona, 28, was reportedly found by two friends in her home and there was a suicide note addressed to Jim. She died of a drug overdose and her body is scheduled for an examination tomorrow.” 

She had eerily tweeted on Sept. 24, the same day as the alleged breakup that she was signing off Twitter for good: “Signing off Twitter. I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
