Youths Avoiding CAC, Spiritual Works, Gays ; CAC Top Pastor, Dr Adenodi, Discloses Reasons Behind It

The 2015 CAC North America Convention, is still fresh in the minds of most members and non-members that attended in July, however, no successful program is ever without an efficient planning committee, and despite his busy schedule in ensuring all programs went smoothly, Pastor Dr David Adenodi , the Convention Chairman North America, was able to share the intricacies of his position in the church, and also about informative news about the CAC denomination with Olori Wendy.
Pastor Dr David is also the DCC Superintendent for CAC Agbala Itunra, Maryland, USA.

What is your role as the convention chairman for North America?

My role is to plan, for example conferences, convention for all our churches in North America, to make sure we have successful conventions and conferences

How is the 2015 convention compared to the previous ones

It is one of the most successful convention being that it is the first time we are holding the convention in our 65 acres of land here in Pennsylvania with all the logistics. As you can see yourself, people are trooping in day and night and how successful the convention is. We thank God for his grace and for making it a successful program.

How many segments do we have for CAC in America?

The North America includes Canada, that's United States and Canada, that's why we have North America, and we have 13 DCC and Zones, where we have district superintendent and DCC superintendent on this 13 DCC or Zones. We have them in various parts of United States and by the grace of God, they are all are functioning properly, and all are here at the convention.

Is this convention for CAC North America only

Not necessarily, however, as a zone or DCC, they can have conferences but convention is one, but other Zones or DCC can also have conferences yearly but the time will be different from the time of the North America Convention. Just like other churches have programs going on, DCC also have programs going on in different places.

What's your view on the present day christian world

We thank God, the gospel is expanding, God is adding to his kingdom, I must say a lot of people are loosing their faith now, because they want to be relevant to the world, the society, and by so doing, they are loosing their faith in Christ. For example there are so many things going on in different parts of the world, gays here and there, some of the ministers are even subscribing to certain wrong things but if God did not forgive Sodom and Gomorrah, I believe that this generation will not go unpunished.

Why are there fewer youths in some of the CAC churches

Youths are not avoiding CAC in general, it depends on the perspective, we have a lot of youths in some of our churches in thousands of numbers.
This program as a matter of fact, I think the reason why we have low turn out of youths is because of the location. It is a new place, and because of the logistics issues, I think that's one thing that affected them . We have other youths like the Bethel fellowship, Atlanta Georgia Program, the youths trooped out more than the adults, today is because of logistic issues but next year, you will see them in en masse.
However, the program wasn't planned early and a lot of people had been committed to one thing or the other, some of them are in summer schools, so with that it affected them.
Nevertheless, the youths in our church are given free hand, after we monitor them by the grace of God, through the Spirit of God, so they operate independently freely, we love them and we encourage them that they can do even better in life and in ministry, and with that, they take up the challenges and they succeed in anything they do, even at their schools.

What is the theme for this year's convention and how did you come up with that?

The theme for this year's convention is The Faithfulness of God, God is ever faithful, however, it is not my own personal suggestion. It is the theme the authority sent to us and ofcourse we should not forget that in all we do, we should remember that God is faithful and we are just trying to let the people know that no matter the condition they are, God is ever faithful, and that is what what is missing today in the world, people complain about several negative things they are going through forgetting that God ever is faithful and committed to our well being.

Does CAC believe in spiritual works ?

CAC operates with biblical doctrines, and our forefathers have laid those foundation. If you see in our study of water of Marah, it turned into sweetness, that is why in CAC. We use water and it heals people, and they come to give testimony. I remember the pool in Bethesda, that Jesus healed the lame man and we believe in those works that are in the biblical way, not the ones that are in ungodly manner, because some people may do things the way they like but we do our things based on the scriptures and the scriptures can not be broken, and it depend on the faith of those people that we pray for whether with water or oil, it doesn't matter but it is your faith that matters.
Jesus said; "your faith has made you whole", so it is the faith they have in those things that actually make them whole, and God will answer them anytime  they call on Him, we believe in that.

Do you have time for leisure?

My position is a challenging position which you have seen now, and that is how it is on and on, either here in the US or in Nigeria or Europe, because I go across the world. Leisure !!!, because I don't know how many times we have actually found Jesus in leisure time, you see, we should not forget we should have time to rest, but we should also not have that to disturb the kingdom of God, but when you rest, you are refreshing the body and the anointing so when you come out again, you are refreshed.
I travel a lot but anytime I'm home, I stay with my family and they will feel my presence before I carry my bag again, so just to play with my family and make sure my children are happy, and my wife is happy that I'm staying around them.
