APC Edo State Governorship Aspirant Gets Support From The Iyase Of Benin, As He Promise To Probe Oshiomhole

APC's youngest Governorship aspirant for Edo State, Nigeria, Blessing Agbomhere paid a visit yesterday to the Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe in his residence to solicit his support and prayers.
In response, the Iyase applauded Blessing's courage and vision, while he prayed to God to grant Agbomhere's desire for Edo State to be like a mini Dubai.

Blessing Agbomhere, has vowed to probe the government of incumbent Governor Adams Oshiomhole if elected into office, declaring that being members of the same political party would not deter him from looking into the books of the Oshiomhole administration and those before him.

year-old Agbomhere from Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State also took a swipe on the loans so far collected by the government of Governor Oshiomhole, remarking that the loans were collected without repayment procedures.

The Nigerian aspirant, who spoke at a press briefing in Benin on Tuesday, expressed optimism in winning the APC governorship ticket, boasting that “I have consulted widely with delegates of the party and more than 2,600 delegates are already behind him.”

Agbomhere, who said he was unmoved by the financial wealth of other APC governorship aspirants, pointed out that he decided to contest the Edo State governorship election in order to provide jobs and hope for hundreds of thousands of unemployed youths in the state.

He said, “you can’t collect loan without a procedure of how to pay back. You cannot take loan and expect the next government to pay back; you must set up a platform for the loan to be repaid. Government must learn how to do business"

"My government will abolish corruption in Edo State. That is why the programme we have is to ensure that all our past leaders are probed. Whether they like it or not, we will ensure that whatever they have taken from Edo state, whatever they have wasted from Edo state, they will bring back. And I will start from Comrade Adams, the present governor of Edo state.

“We will visit all the projects he has done to ascertain how much he has spent on the projects and if we see that Edo State has been shortchanged, we will ensure that such monies are refunded to the account of Edo State. “
