Personally I can count several sights at which Police officers are relegated to the background, and they themselves have apparently lost their self value. It's so obvious that Nigerian Police are not respected.
However, that does not give public holders right to treat them like trash just because they have got money to throw around.
But then who are the Police officers to complain when their superiors might not defend them should they refuse to be treated like maids.
However, can someone warn the Nigerian Police Inspector General, Solomon Arase against public office holders using their ADC, most especially Police as maids, as the situation is getting more embarrassing the way supposed public office holders are using them as maids, including their wives as well.
Also miffed by this, one of the journalists in the country, Funsho Arogundade wrote a piece on the subject matter and seriously frowned at such acts carried out by public office holders and their wives.

" Seriously. Policing is a serious business. Those who signed to be its officers and other rank and file ought to be men and women of great character with self-esteem.
I have been privileged to interact with police officers in the western world and they are intelligent and full of self respect. Guess those virtues are for operatives in those saner society excluding Nigeria.
My heart aches each time I see any Nigerian Police operative behaving like someone with serious attitude.
There was a time, a MOPOL was caught on still camera hoisting an umbrella to shade off one fat, semi-illiterate Chinese “expatriate” in Lekki, Lagos.
In August, I was at a society wedding in Ikeja, Lagos and while gisting with some friends at the entrance of the venue, I sighted an SUV belonging to a friend. The car was tinted and while waiting for our friend to step out of the vehicle from the driver’ side. Rather, he majestically came out through the owner’s corner with his snow white Agbada like a politician. As we wonder who chauffeured our friend (he runs a marketing communication firm) to the party venue, a Nigerian Police operative in his taxpayer-funded uniform rolled down the tinted glass to salute my bloody civilian friend. Not a few of us flabber were gasted. Nigerian Police officer turned a common driver over how much?
But I get more irritated looking at this picture. This is Hajia Tambuwal, wife of cosmopolitan Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto State. Flanked her was her ADC, a pretty Nigerian Police officer, now turned a “bag carrier”!
I hate to see any politician or their spouses turned these hardworking officers into a boi-boi or other demeaning activities. Join me in condemning this nonsense."
