Xchange, Another Set of Twins Set To Change The Music Trend

Just like the Ibo twins Psquare came, saw and conquered, Xchange from the south west are here to stay amidst lots of artistes storming the scenes. In an exclusive interview with Olori Wendy, they stated their music themes and desires.  

It is interesting that another set of twins are in the music industry, what inspired you?

What inspired us is the passion for music and vision to people with good music. 

Do you see yourself as another PSquare or like being compared to them?

Actually people see us as another Psquare. But Psquare is psquare and Xchange is Xchange because we are different and also our music style is likewise different.

What is your music all about?

The genre of our music is Afro hiphop sensational, and the message of our music is inspirational.

You have been seen performing at various events but your music is not on the mainstream, what are the challenges on that?

Wow that is a very good question.. actually we have good songs that can sail in the mainstream.however there are two (2) main things that keeps one's song in the mainstream. 1. Massive promotion on radio and 2. Complementing it with an international standard music video which is promoted on Tv and this involve alot of money through the record label.

However if one as an individual doesn't have such huge amount for massive promotion, you can promote gradually till it becomes a wide spread fire.

As twins, do you have differences when creating music or performances, and is there any particular role each play?

Noooo not at  all. We actually both sit down and agree to write songs together and decide who should produce it. Nobody takes any particular role, we both just decide to take initiative when it comes to‎ that.

What are you up to music wise?

Now we working on shooting a good video for our single titled Presidential. We are also working a new single which will be produced by one of the top producers in the industry.

Is there anything else you are doing besides music?

Yaa we both do business, Hmmmm!!!. Let's make that a bit personal for now. But we just registered our company now. So in due time people will know more about what we do aside music.

What is your family and education background like and how did it affect your music?

We are the third in our family. Taiwo read acounting and Kenny read Business Administration at the University of Ilorin. Our second degree also in MBA and PGSM respectively. We also both had a couple of professional certifications too and this has gone a long way to affect our music as regards to the music business.

What would you like fans to know about you?

Yaaa  our fans should watch soon for the video of Presidential that they have clamoring for and like I said the lasted single titled BY MY SIDE. This song is also an inspiring and crazy single which will be produced by Mastercraft. Oops !!! I just let the cat out of the bag now. Trust Xchange we are working hard to give you the best‎.

What are your relationship status? 

We are both single ooooo! Totally and completely unmarried. Lol
