SoundCity, Nigeria's top music channel have bitten more than they can chew these days. Recently it was the Psquare saga now Nollywood actress Shan George has screaming foul at them. 
The beautiful actress claims that Soundcity staff Deji and Dro duped her of one hundred thousand Naira ( N100,000). They had requested that amount to play her son's music video on their channel, however Jaga's Summer Rose never surfaced on any of their video rotation after she paid to Dro's account "Andrew Umeh Ujah. GTB. 0111990534"

After several weeks of no airplay of her son's music, she had called them but instead Dro rained abuses on her and said she must pay five hundred thousand Naira (500.000) if she wants the video played, otherwise they will only upload it on their online channel. Below is the threatening message Dro sent to her after she complained about Jaga's video "MADAM NO BE ME SAY MAKE U GO SHOOT RUBBISH VIDEO FOR UR PIKIN. IF U DO PEM, I GO SPOIL UR PIKIN MUSIC CAREER FOR THIS NIGERIA O. BRING 5OO THOUSAND NAIRA OR DONT CALL MY FONE AGAIN."
Shan George however called Deji who had introduced her to Dro but he started avoiding her calls
afterwards.

A lot of artistes and their management have been known to pay about two to three hundred thousand Naira (200/300k) to have their songs played on SoundCity, and without the payment, their video will not be aired, it is a big shame all these has been happening unashamedly in such a prestigious TV station.
Nevertheless, they should not forget that there are other music channels competing with them in Nigeria and they also risk lawsuits, if further negative dramas continue from them.
Shan George is however, requesting a refund of their money as Deji and Dro had breached their initial agreement.
