Guzlaw: Rising to stardom

 There are lots of young talents in the Nigerian music industry, and one of such is Guzlaw, a student and fast rising music artiste, who shared his experience with Olori Wendy, on his music and life.

Wendy; Your birth name and basic details?‎

GUZLAW; I am Adewunmi Gbenga Segun, popularly known as Guzlaw. I was born May15.


Wendy; More on Guzlaw?

GUZLAW; At the moment, Guzlaw is a Music artist and a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, I should be graduating soon as I'm a 400 level student of the Dramatic Arts dept OAU.‎


Wendy; When did you start your music career?

GUZLAW; I have always been involved in music but I started music profesionally in the year 2008.


Wendy; How have you been able to balance your music career and student life?

GUZLAW; I have been able to pull through so far by working hard, studying hard and most importantly praying harder.


Wendy: what is your state of origin and what was growing up for you like?

GUZLAW: I am a citizen of Nigeria, from Ondo state. I grew up in ilorin and Lagos,  Bariga... As a kid, I didn't have the luxury of a silver spoon, but everything was fine and fun.


Wendy; What are your challenges as a musician?

GUZLAW; To be factual, my challenges are getting the top shows and most importantly a good sponsor


Wendy: How many tracks have you recorded and who are the people you have worked with ?

GUZLAW: I have released songs like Ololufe, Senorita, Booty Community, Sexy Tattoo etc. I have worked with the likes of Tee piano, Mr Fliptyce, and many others.


Wendy; What are you working on at the moment?

GUZLAW; I'm working on quite some songs but watch out for my new single titled 'Celebrate' just like the previous one #Sexy tattoo, 'Celebrate' is also being produced by Mr Fliptyce.


Wendy; What is the greatest moment in your career so far?

GUZLAW; I would say from sexy tattoo up till this moment 'Celebrate' because it has been a privilege for me to work with Mr Fliptyce and Tee piano who have since then taught me a lot. Also getting different awards in and out of my state of residence, Osun State. It feels awesome to be acknowledged with the efforts I have put so far.


Wendy; Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

GUZLAW: I see my self working with the best, getting all the necessary awards and still dropping dope tracks for my fans out there.


Wendy; Word for your fans out there?

GUZLAW; I'm saying thanks for always being there for me, God bless you all for supporting Guzlaw and good music.
