Rotary International requests entries from journalist from print, electronics and online media to submit entries for humanitarian Reporting Awards to recognize journalists who have reported stories and pictorial publications published or broadcasted between July 1, 2015–June 21, 2016 on humanitarian, health service related issues.
Rotary is a global humanitarian organization with more than 1.2 million members and 35,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Rotary club members are men and women who are business, professional and community leaders with a shared commitment to make the world a better place through humanitarian service.
Besides polio eradication, Rotary International and its Foundation focus on the following six areas of service delivery:
· Peace and conflict Resolution
· Literacy and Numeracy
· Water and Sanitation
· Maternal and child Health
· Disease prevention
· Hunger and poverty Alleviation.
These interventions can only produce significant impact with the support of appropriate reportage; it is for this reason that we are having the Humanitarian Reporting Awards
