In a chat with a media promoter and Record Label Owner, Don Bookey, he reveals his darkest secret on internet fraud popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo !!!   Sharing his life and intricate details about the business.

 

What led you into it?

I grew up in a social hood as I can describe, went to a very well known great and social school of my time, so as at that point in time the way of making money apart from the monies your parents give you from the house is through gambling with video games, later we graduated to internet games as I know it, abiii !!! there's always a graduation for everyone......i started doing this because I need money to get myself expensive things, be among the best boys.

What have you achieved so far from it?

So far so good, thank God, though what am doing is bad, but a lot of our leaders and big people that we looking up to as big people today, most of them, their wealth background is negative, to my answer, my record label is my achievement which is based in Ghana & South Africa as an upcoming record label with amazing musicians.

Greatest lie ever told to a maga and paid off

Well greatest lie is making fake things real, but there are a lot, no great lies but the simplest is internet and food bill

Would you leave it after a while or is it like a career now?

I have already left internet fraud a couple of years now.

Have you ever gotten emotionally involved with a client?

 You will definitely get emotionally involved, because life is full of feelings, but one thing is that, business is business and money first, so that have to be taken care of.

Have you ever felt guilty about your business?

I am never happy with this business, but simply what will man do? it is still better than robbery for all I care and after all it helps a lot of big youths you see in this whole wide world whether you intellectuals like it or not, that don't bother me.

Have you ever been involved with the police? How safe is the business?

A lot of times, I've been involved with the police, even many of them in my community know me, but I thank God for my life , I have a career now.

Does your family know what you do? What do they think you're doing to make money?

My family don't know what am doing, until I traveled abroad many times, change my cars, buy land and things, then they started to suspect and eventually know, but one word, the child that brings money home is the child that the parents adore, not one who wanna die poor, am not from a wealthy home, omo ati apata dide !! Now that you are loaded, who are the ones benefiting from it?

My community, friends and families, people I don't know, the church of God, I help a lot of upcoming artists get career and get known for their good music both home and away, help people I can with what I can, life goes on.

Do you feel fulfilled?

I'm fulfilled, either u make it or not, you feel fulfilled in something, either bad or good, that's just it.

If not for the business, what would you have done?

Aeronautic Engineer , but who will foot the bill, I laugh out loud, because I was one of the perfect students of my set and that was my goal

What's your typical day like and how do you unwind?

I do media business, play video games, cards, casino, chill with girls, go to studio, suff the internet, clubbing.

People say yahoo doesn't pay off these days and what boys do is plus, what's your view about that?

Yahoo pay !!!, yahoo plus well I've never tried that. The name yahoo!, I don't call it that, in my days I call it internet fraud, anything fraud goes with your intelligent mind, how creative you are, either bad or good. If you are not intelligent you can't make it from yahoo, that's when you need to add plus , for me there's nothing like yahoo plus

Greatest regret so far?

I should have had about 5 houses or more, but I spent lavishly on alcohol, women and unnecessary show off.

What would you like to voice out for people to know?

Made too much cash, spent it lavishly, started investing when my cash started going away, but I thank God today I have a career now, more also to all the bad gee's out there, I love you so much, keep doing what you know how to do best, but start investing before it too late, if I advise you to stop, will I give you job or give you monies? No !!!, but stop when you get something from it, the game don't go for life, we have to be positive, that in reality, we can use the same brain we using for the fraud to do better things and we will be creative, I use the same brain in my media promotion field and my entertainment life, but one thing for sure I will voice out to NIGERIA is that their low opportunity in our community, F**K !!! and life goes on as well.
