The clamor to showcase good Nollywood movies of international standard has been heard with series of new African flicks screening at our cinemas weekly.
Another new production is yet out to storm the cinemas with it's
amazing story-line and visuals, a comedy thriller titled "streets of
calabar".
The movie which was shot in London UK and Calabar/Cross River
Nigeria, showcased the beauty of Calabar/Cross River tourist spots and
well as their culture.
However, "Streets of Calabar" is a tale of two jokers, caught in a
web of scams, danger and murder. Starring is one of Nollywood's
best-known actress, Rita Dominic, British-Nigerian actors, Wale Ojo,
Anthony Ofoegbu, Maynard Eziashi, popular Nollywood actor, Keppy
Ekpenyong, National theatre actor in the Uk, Gordon Case as well as
other talents from the Uk and Nollywood .
The movie was written, produced and co-directed by Charles Aniagolu.
Frank Adekunle Macauley also acted and co-directed the film.
However, the movie was premiered at the Silverbird Galleria, VI
recently and will also be showcased on Friday. 21st December 2012 at the
Film House, Marina Resort in Calabar.
With yet another Nollywood international movie, one can say welcome to the cinemas.Sights and scenes at the movie premiere
