75 years old retired General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) got married recently after about two years after the death of his first wife, Christiana Aduke.
His late wife was 70 years old when she died on September 4, 2016. The two got married in 1965.
Prophet Abiara had earlier announced his plans to remarry while giving his farewell speech at his send-off service held at All Saints’ Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Bashorun, Ibadan, on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
He had said: “It’s a year and a half my beloved wife Christiana Aduke Abiara went to be with the Lord. I missed her so much”.
At a brief but colourful ceremony in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, the 75-year-old walked his new bride, Grace Ojewande, down the aisle, one and half years after he lost his spouse Christiana.
The wedding, which took place at the Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, saw top dignitaries including respected Christian leaders in attendance.
The new wife, who could not hide her joy at the occasion, is said to be in her early 50s and a native of Ifetedo in Osun State.
However, sources claimed she had never been married neither does she have a child. She is said to be a mountain of Mountain of Fire and Prayers Ministries popularly known as MFM.
Giving reasons why he decided to remarry at 75, Prophet Abiara had said that he consulted widely before arriving at his choice.
He said, “My children, who are now grown-ups, held a meeting and concluded that I should get a new wife who will attend to my everyday needs at old age”.
