Music Artist Guzlaw Shares With Olori Wendy On How He Became Evangelist Geekingee

Numerous artistes are springing up each with their different style and flavors. However some are more distinct than others.
Guzlaw, a fast rising star with a unique vibe is quite unstoppable in his 9ja lyrics as he is hell bent on making it internationally accepted.
In a chat with Olori Wendy, he disclosed the secret behind his passion as well as other scoop about his music.

You just finished serving as a youth corper, what did you study in school and what are your plans now that you have finished serving?
I studied Drama and dramatic arts. My plans now is to face my career and do what I love to do most.


What inspired your passion for music, your lyrics and genre?

The major thing that inspired me is the kind of environment I found myself at a particular period in time, and things I did that time.

What support have you had so far, what are your challenges musically?

I get support from people around me and hustle myself as a street boy. My major challenges now is getting a sponsor which I believe God will do very soon.

What are your new singles about and what are your plans on releasing them?

I am dropping a new single Geekingee very soon, that talks about showing love in drink sharing, and also my one minute LOVE.

You are known as Guzlaw, but want to be called Evangelist Geekingee,  what's the meaning and why the change?

I haven't changed my name, I still remain my humble self Mr Guzlaw. You can also call me Evangelist Geekingee as a street boy because Geekingee is a street word.


How long have you been recording songs and what are benefits of music so far?

That have been since 2008. I have been recording lots of songs. Benefits comes from different angels, through shows, meeting people and so on.

Who is the dream artiste you would love to work with and how do you plan to achieve it?

My dream artiste I would love to work with is 2face.
     
What is your most interesting stage experience so far?

My most interesting stage experience was at the Lagos state orientation camp. It was awesome, ladies turned up to my song sexy tattoo on stage.

Since you have lived outside Lagos most of your life, do you see it as an advantage or disadvantage in your music?

Lagos has blessed my career, so many positive sides , with lots of advantages.


Besides music,  what other business are you involved in or plan to do alongside as entertainers are usually advised to have a Plan B?

As my plan B, I love to run packaged bottle and sachet water.

Church has been a major influence in starting most artiste careers, which church do you attend, and how has it influenced you musically?

 Yaaap, I started from the church as a choir member. I attended C and S Church in Kwara state.
