I Knew My Wife Died Through Social Media- Jide Kosoko

After news broke on Monday that wife of Nollywood icon Jide Kosoko had passed on, many fans of the couple were in shocked and shared their condolences on various social media.

However Jide Kosoko confirmed that social media broke the news of his 3rd wife to him as he was not aware of the development.

He told Encomium Weekly when they paid a condolence visit to the Kosoko's Lagos residence at Bariga yesterday and met the widower looking distraught as he was talking with some colleagues and movie marketers, about his wife's death. He reportedly said,

"I went to a particular event on Monday (June 6), I was not aware that my wife was dead until the person that was with me asked me to check the rumours flying around the social media about my wife’s death.

I referred to it as rumour because I still didn’t believe, if not until I confirmed it myself. I don’t know how to explain the situation. It is an unimaginable loss. Third wife! Won’t the world count the numbers of lives I have lost?."

Meanwhile, remains of his late wife, Henrietta, would be committed to mother earth on Friday, June 9, 2016, the family has disclosed.

According to funeral arrangements released by Akeem Kosoko and Abbey Lanre for the family and the burial committee respectively, it was disclosed that a Christian Wake and Artistes Performance night will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016, from 4pm to 9pm at LTV 8, Ikeja.

While burial service will hold at her church followed by an interment at Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos, on Friday June 10, 2016.

Henrietta breathed her last on Monday, June 6, 2016, after she reportedly slump at her home in Lagos. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead. She was said to have been suffering from diabetics for a long time.
