That Taiwo Osadipe, the other half of the gospel music group, the
Osadipe Twins died is no longer new but mystery and controversy
bordering around her sudden demise is still locked. The young artiste,
though, will be buried tomorrow but the trending issue is about her
final moments with death.
Olori Wendy Blog has been reliably
informed that, the beautiful entertainer actually died from chest pain
resulting from the alleged assault meted on her by her husband’s first
wife, Mrs. George, owner of Little Saint Orphanage Homes at Palmgroove
area of Lagos.
According to information
gathered, the deceased and her sister, Kehinde were welcome frequent
visitors at the Orphanage homes as youth ambassador, a move we learnt
was facilitated by LSO’s husband, one Captain Jide George, owner of
Goldmyne Studio who later became her husband.
During
those humanitarian and social responsibility visitations to the
orphanage to encourage the children, Captain Jide was said to have found
something of interest in Taiwo; after several ‘special outings’ the
secret lover conceived for the Captain and a hush-hush engagement was
contracted to traditionally make their union binding, this led to the
acquisition of an apartment by Captain Jide George for the lovely Taiwo
at Akora Estate, within the Adeniyi Jones area of Lagos where she lived
until her death.
To lend credence to the fact
that nothing can be hidden forever, Mrs. George, the orphanage egghead
eventually got wind of her husband’s fraternity with Taiwo, like a woman
scorned; she was alleged to have started springing up all kinds of
troubles, sometime threatening the lady that she would be dealt with.
This has been the routine according to a source within the neighbourhood
until Mrs. Gorge of Little saint’s orphanage stormed Taiwo’s Akora’s
estate home and as usual started harassing her, to the point where
physical assault was introduced, a result that saw Captain Jide beating
the Orphanage home convener blue black and been ejected out of his abode
to the street.
Few days after, Taiwo , started
complaining of chest pain, a compliant which culminated in her being
hospitalised for a period of time before being discharged.
Olu
Akinsanya, the manager of the twins who initially declined any comment
on the incident due to shock, revealed that the singer died of
complications arising from chest-related pains, with many alleging she
was admitted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH),
Ikeja, about a month ago and was given some medications.
We
reproduce what was said about the deceased by the manager, “The illness
wasn’t serious. She felt better when she started taking the drugs. But
surprisingly, she suffered a relapse last week (two weeks ago). On
Wednesday, penultimate, she called her doctor who treated her at LASUTH
and she was told to come over to his private hospital, as he wouldn’t be
around at LASUTH until Friday. She went to the hospital, where the
doctor carried out some medical checks on her and gave her some drugs.
He also gave her an appointment for Friday. But unfortunately, in the
early hours of the day, she started complaining of pains.
This
time, it was very severe; so, her twin sister, Kehinde, decided to rush
her to LASUTH. But upon reaching the hospital, she was confirmed BID
(Brought-In-Dead). By 8.00a.m., Kehinde called me and I had to rush to
LASUTH to see her myself. It is still very shocking to me. I saw her on
Wednesday and we talked and joked. We even talked about my forthcoming
wedding. She promised to play at my wedding, so she asked me not to
invite any other musician.
The last thing she complained about was the chest pain and that was what led to her death two days after.”
All
effort to reach Mrs. George or Captain Jide for their reactions was
aborted but those who know Mrs. George, the owner of the Orphanage told
us that, she is a woman with impeccable character who will not engage in
dastard deed of that nature. We believe them too. The picture above is
the almost one year old baby she left behind. May God grant her a
resting place above! Amen.
