National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has said the
help of five police sniffers dogs will be needed to assist in locating trapped
victims as they are getting closer to areas suspected to have more trapped
people. As at noon, Monday, the death toll from Friday’s disaster has risen to
46 from 17 which was the official figure declared by NEMA.
The commissioner of police have ordered the release of the dogs, which NEMA spokesman, Farinloye says will help in early conclusion of the operations, as they will help to detect trapped victims faster.
