Must Watch Video: This Ebola Survivor Has A Message For You


Fear is gripping the hearts of many over the rapid spread of the deadly Ebola disease which has killed many in some West African countries.
It is important to note that not everyone who contacts the disease is doomed. There have been cases of those of survived the disease and one of such people is Sasobas Temé Sadnou.
In the interview below, Sadnou, a survivor of Ebola speaks about his experience. He was treated by Humanitarian organization, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) who uploaded the video online.
There is no cure for Ebola but with early medical support some people’s bodies are able to develop antibodies to fight it off.
According to report, the Ebola outbreak has a survival rate of about 40 percent. And good health care and early detection seems to be able to improve people’s outcomes.

The World Health Organization, WHO, has warned that the Ebola epidemic currently in West Africa could spread to other countries if not properly controlled.
The first case of Ebola in Nigeria was reported after a a Liberian businessman, Patrick Sawyer, arrived Lagos International Airport already infected with the disease. The later died in a Lagos hospital. However, those who had direct contact with the deceased have been quarantined.
