Startimes applauds NBMA, gives FREE decoders

Mr. Anetor Irete and Kazeem Popoola

Startimes Network Limited is unarguably the first digital pay-channels provider in the country, and the company is obviously not losing faith in its ambition to be the best in its line of business. In the euphoria of its third anniversary, Startimes has in such short time, earned recognition from all quarters, following its regional expansion into the Nigerian digital TV industry, through the provision of unique TV channels and content. It is no surprise, therefore, that Startimes was the winner of last year’s NBMA’s Best Pay Digital TV channel provider in Nigeria!

On Tuesday, August 20th, Kazeem Popoola led a team of executive members of The Reality Entertainment, organizers of the annual Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) to the Startimes’ Lagos office for a courtesy visit, to felicitate with the management and staff of the upwardly mobile Pay Digital TV channel provider, on their third anniversary.

Startimes General Manager, Mr. Eric Liu expressed his profound gratitude for the visit, and also seized the opportunity to commend the NBMA initiative. Mr. Liu emphasized the need to celebrate and encourage the neglected sector, and urged other media houses to support the cause of the industry.

Apart from the accolades, and the company’s eagerness to support the laudable idea of the NBMA. The Reality Entertainment team did not leave empty handed, as Mr. Anetor Irete, the Public Relation Manager of Startimes, on behalf of the management team of the company, presented five Startimes Decoders, plus free subscription, to the visiting executive members of NBMA. He added that this was done to empower the NBMA, which he described as, “the ‘watch dog’ of the Nigerian broadcasting industry.”
