Why are you into hand crafts, what inspired you?

I am into craft because I love to be creative.
I believe God did not finish the work of creation and he expects us as human being to be like him to create things.
I am also very passionate about using my hands to create something unique, something people can appreciate. it gives me joy, excitement and fulfillment to imagine a thing and bring it to reality in form of creation, and also do the same for my clients.

Describe your learning process?

I started with Informal learning form home which started with crocheting. Making of hair for people, making roses, petals etc.
However, after my university education, i went to a training school to formalize my passion.

How profitable has it been since you started?

Well, it is a thriving business and it is quite profitable, I really can't remember starting with a particular amount, because sometimes you are able to make good profit from a client which you just put back into the business in form of getting more materials. Also, I started from home but now it is a registered business having a showroom in the heart of gbagada. We also train and organise seminars and we have seasoned instructors, creative students and a large clientele base.

Which project are you up to presently?

We have lots of projects on the line, but presently we are having a training on ankara crafts. How to use ankara to make shoes, bags and accessories. We hope to impact lives through this training thereby kicking out poverty and unemployment.
The training is on the 12th of June at my Gbagada showroom, it cost just twenty thousand Naira (#20,000)which covers for materials, refreshment and certificate. Participants are expected to pay on or before 7th of June.
