Dozens of students signed up for classes as MAEC celebrated the launching with the students, tutors and guests.
The academy is a vision of Oladipupo Olugbodi, whose aim is to assist students in the Ikorodu, Lagos community and communities beyond in providing a functional subsidized after-school educational program.
Another aim is to mentor the students in good ethics, conduct, and behavior, as well as addressing their challenges through established and novel strategies.
The courses offered are Mathematics and English, as well as educational/entertainment games like scrabble, chess, etc.
Some of the benefits of MAEC Academy are its subsidized fees, and gifts to reward good character as well as free tutorial and gifts for the top best students.
Some outstanding students were awarded with gifts of educational tools to encourage them to be focused, courtesy of Glory Creations Corporation.
Glory Creations Corporation also provided refreshments to all students, teachers, and guests, as well as cake from Kemjoe Bakers, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The classes will be holding every Friday and Saturday, at ROTLAB Private School, Energy Bus Stop, Parafa, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.
