New Dating Game TV Show Gets Backing By Airtel

Leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, on Wednesday announced its partnership with EbonyLife TV to sponsor the maiden edition of The Dating Game, a show that has been an audience favourite since 1965 and airing in over 25 countries.
Dating Game Nigeria will offer contestants who are single a chance to find love by asking three hidden suitors a number of questions. Whoever the contestant thinks gave the best answers is chosen and gets a chance to go on a date with the man or woman who asked the questions. In the following episode, the audience gets to see what happened on the date and whether the couple wants to see each other again.

Airtel says it is excited about the new show because it will offer a credible and exciting platform to connect more Nigerians, deepen friendship bonds as well as offer real delight to television viewers.

Commenting on the partnership with EbonyLife TV, Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Dinesh Balsingh, said: “connected people are inspired, people. We connect our people to each other, empowering them to create opportunities, dream big and live well.
“I am pleased with the partnership with EbonyLife to deliver the maiden edition of the Dating Game Nigeria to the homes and smartphones of our esteemed telecoms consumers. Without a doubt, the vision of the show aligns with our philosophy of connecting people and Airtel will not relent in its quest of creating and supporting credible and exciting platforms that will further unite us as Nigerians.”
EbonyLife TV recently reached an agreement with Sony Pictures Television to produce a modified version of The Dating Game in Nigeria.

Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife TV, is excited about the new television production. “Dating Game Nigeria is for anyone who is single and searching – it’s a fun way to meet interesting people and maybe find that special one. We are thrilled at the prospect of bringing people together, with lots of great ways to have a wonderful first date,” she said.
In an unusual departure from standard casting calls, viewers are being encouraged to recommend friends or relatives whom they think would be the ideal catch for another singleton.

Dating Game Nigeria with love from Airtel is now calling for applications from interested, potential contestants, as well as recommendations from friends and family. The series will air later this year and culminate in the 2019 Valentine season. For full details, visit www.datinggamenigeria.com
