THE IGBO LEADERS AND GOVERNORS OF THE SOUTHEAST ARE HYPOCRITES

The uncertainty that is threatening Nigeria's existence presently and the Northern youths quit notice to the Ibos in the Northern region, was caused by their grave and tactical approvals of the activities and behaviours of the IPOB and MOSSOB agitating for the republic of Biafra.

Mr Nnamdi KANU various videos, radio broadcasts and utterances on Nigeria and his dream project of Biafra were indeed not hidden to anyone in the world.

The people, traditional rulers, regional leaders, regional religious leaders, governors, all behaved deaf, dumb and crippled in their mind.

Recently, Nnamdi KANU who was charged with treasonous offenses was released after some political maneuverings with the excuse of health issues; has been going around the region, meeting with notable sons and leaders of the southeast who openly endorsed what he was doing; encouraging him that many people could not dare such adventures.

I expected the leaders to caution his ( Mr Nnamdi KANU) moves and to explain to him the encroaching dangers and the implications of violating his bail conditions!
They deliberately pushing him from behind to violate the court bail conditions and daring the Nigerian court.

If the Southeast leaders caution and acted like the northern leaders are doing presently, we would not have come to this tension that is enveloping the country now.
I will blame the Southeast leaders of all fronts in this regard.
Many politicians, elders of the region and notable "wailers", hide under the banner of restructuring; but in their overall mind, they are looking for the country's break up.
Since they lost political power in 2015 presidential election, all they wanted is to sink the Nigeria ship. "If I cannot get it, let it be destroyed mentality".

The Nigeria state is very fragile and care must be taken to protect her sovereignty.
If any unwanted situation happens, those who are beating the dancing drums will jet out with their loved ones and leave behind the venerable to suffer the consequences.
Now, that the sleeping lion is awaken, I hope that the Southeast and indeed the Nigeria state will be able to manage the avoidable situation.
Arrest and counter arrest would not calm nerves but a critical dialogue and serious meetings with the stake holders may do.

The various security agencies and the government should be up to the task and not to wait till the critical stage.
Nigeria is known for reactionary tactics and not proactive in nature.
Danger is ahead if the government thinks that arrest and commanding force would solve this problems.
Dialogue is the key.
