On the quest on official duties, four breadwinners working in an oil company have been confirmed dead by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) officials, after a Bristow helicopter crashed into the Lagos Lagoon at the Oworonshoki end of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State yesterday.
Twelve people were on board of the aircraft.
Journalists who were on ground immediately the accident happened, confirmed that the remaining two passengers, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, were taken to the Afolabi Hospital in Oworonshoki and the General Hospital, Ikeja, for emergency treatment.
Six people have been rescued so far, with two still missing, and another injured person is also at the Gbagada General hospital.
Meanwhile the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has commiserated with the victims of the helicopter, expressing deep regrets over the unfortunate incident.
