The Blogger, The Law & The Brand is a masterclass panel session that is targeted at the newly founded niche in media called “Blogging”. The event is going to explore the blogger’s responsibility in the media world, the business opportunities involved and the legal operations in blogging.
In lieu of the theme of this year’s social media week, “Upwardly Mobile: The Rise of A Connected Africa”, our session would explore a fundamental structure for the blogging community which is fast becoming a new employment sector in Africa. The function of this session is to ignite a consciousness in the global connection potential in Africa’s digital space.
- What is the concept of blogging?
Our speaker on this question is a seasoned and well sought after music blogger a niche carved out. He would discuss the fundamentals involved in starting and maintaining a blog. He would also highlight the concept of niche blogging as relevant to the growth of an healthy digital media industry in Nigeria. And an overview of ethics for the blogger.

Our second speaker who has a robust profile in business branding with specialty in media branding, would delineating the basic business strategy to make a blog a revenue outlet. He would educate the attendees on the necessary business steps to adopt in the operations of their blogs to attract investors, sponsors, partnerships etc
